Something Just Doesn't Add Up About Dan Goldwasser

If someone puts up a link on social media saying it proves something, should you just believe them, right?

Before we dig into this mess, I will point out that the person operating @dgoldwas has an extensive, continuously held twitter account history aligned with music and movies.

Then I checked that IMDb.

According to the professional listing he was born January 6, 1975 Dan has the MOST amazing credentials, all uncredited, going back to the sixties, with a leap to the 20’s!

We’ll jump down a bit, a couple decades, because this uncredited guy really claims he did a whole lot of everything, none of which the editors could verify did happen.

I was most impressed with his uncredited work in 1974 on Blazing Saddles the year prior to his birth before considering what he says allegedly happened in 1927.

Dan Goldwasser is definitely not a bot, yet I find myself rationally questioning why an IDBM exists with zero credited work.

Is he just playing up work he did remastering or marketing someone else’s work regarding music/audio for DVD or streaming sales? If that is the case, none of the work claimed as uncredited belongs on the IDBM, at least not in the way it is presently constituted. That still doesn’t account for the game soundtracks as every game I have every played properly attributed who helped build the game.

I looked at one, Batman Returns. Note what doesn’t make sense amongst the credits where over sixty people are listed as credited for work performed. Below are just the tidbits Dan if on the production team during the end of his High School days, should have showed up under.

And Dan is of course the odd “teen” out. All other producers were credited. Even stunt coordinators got credited. Why wasn’t 16-17 year old Dan?

I looked at his public website of his work.

Warm Butter didn’t have his website on its list. Odd considering Dan himself linked to it and stated this would lead to more of his work, right? I decided to reach out to that company to see if they could help me distinguish this man’s incredible body of work, directly quoting that last line in his Who section.

Here is Warm Butter’s official response to my inquiry after I told them I was looking into the background activities of several individuals who coordinated harassment against Rebekah Jones:

"Warm Butter management is not familiar with Rebecca Jones, but has no comment about the free speech activities of its employees and contractors per California Labor Code §980(b)."

The help desk reiterated twice in two separate responses that they do not work with Sound Editors. Why would Dan link to that website again for unattributable work? Something isn’t right with any of this stuff regarding Dan.

But then again, the same was true of the fake Max Nordau account that said to believe Dan because of his IMDb. That person bought an older empty account then refurbishing it as a dedicated single purpose hate account targeting Jones and bolstering DeSantis while keeping their identity hidden. I have a theory here.

Dan has been conducting a very prolonged self-promotion Op now extending over a decade, claiming extensive undue credit on major productions to bolster his image of actual lackluster work on the periphery of film, TV and game production. He used to maintain a sound editing blog two decades ago, meaning he like so many of the Ops we have covered is a writer. I think, but am uncertain if it is true, does have some local short films and/or commercials he may have produced. His IMDb however, is seriously messed up bunk, and frankly should not exist with zero proven credited work.

Goldwasser also participated heavily in the social influence campaign aimed to destroy Rebekah Jones election hopes using the same sort of abusive language of defamation, ableism, and grotesque lies. While Dan isn’t a bot, he most definitely runs a Single Purpose Hate Account targeting Jones in excess of a year at this point.
