I know people evolve and valuable lessons are to be learned along the way. But it never ceases to amaze me how one of the major players behind Gamergate ended up being well-respected by certain persons who claim to be against white supremacy, misogyny and online abuse.

Money, working for the same network trying to hurt people, makes for strange bedfellows.

I was right there with you for a long time, especially when Qanon first started rolling. Then I got the chance to have a few conversations with him and discovered that I had absolutely no room to judge his mindset and have no clue about how my personality could be different if I were dealing with the level of self-loathing he had when he was younger. It's a testament to the human spirit that someone like that could even attempt to move beyond it, and I think it speaks to a bright spot in society at large that people were able to embrace him into a community of acceptance, because you're right, people do evolve. I think it would be different if Fred was in his mid-40s and still spouting terribly ableist things about people, right?

Can someone please point me to where Brennan specifically apologized for Gamergate which destroyed many lives?

Why not ask him about it yourself? He's on Twitter. He's pretty open and conversational.

I take Fred's actions over what he says any day of the week.

He is still trying to get people killed using GamerGate2.0 tactics, hence his being a fugitive.

He is a fugitive because he called Jim Watkins "senile" and spoke out about the incompetence of 8chan's moderation. If you want to take the side of Jim Watkins and 8chan, that is your business, I guess.

The two were operating that white nationalist pile for years together after he "transferred" that to Jim. The whole disagreement leading to the cyber libel was over control, with Jim having the stronger case to remove Fred.

My position is to send Fred back to face the criminal charges that he fled from. He broke their laws while living in their country, and continues to add heavily to the pile of evidence he is still doing the same GamerGate2.0 tactics that have harmed so many.

I have taken no position yet towards Jim Watkins, as I have never met or interacted with him.

So the short answer is an apology doesn't exist?

If that's how you want to read the response, that's your prerogative, but don't put words in my mouth.

If you'll are going to claim that @KassandraSeven is a "victim" of misogyny, at least have some consistency.

Unlike Fredrick Brennan's fanboys and fangirls, I choose to stand with the victims of Gamergate. Here is Anita Sarkeesian just last summer following the release of Q: Into The Storm: "A massive failing of the documentary is how much we are supposed to feel sympathy for Brennan when there is no actual attempt to repair or even truly understand the harm he’s caused."
