Throwback: Musk's Racist Bot Brigade Led By Susan Portnoy, AKA KassandraSeven

A Series On Misinformation, Disinformation and Subterfuge

Warning: I will be using some deeply offensive racist tweets un-redacted that were first published on Twitter by bots manufactured by Yonder Inc.

Back when Musk purchased Twitter, now X, he had Yonder Inc, formerly New Knowledge craft him a false narrative that he solved racism by turning off internal moderation systems to auto-reject reports, inviting formerly banned miscreants, and having Susan Portnoy lead an ill-advised brigade meant to remove Yonder’s N-word spamming bots.

Let’s start here.

The spike in hate was manufactured, measured in impressions via Remi Barrette’s botnet’s repeated use of the N- word. Here is an example that recorded the use of the term 30X, repeated on 1500 total bots allowing the data shown above to spike dramatically with few instances that were largely not being seen by the public.

Here is Remi Barrette’s friend Yoel Roth highlighting what was happening, noting that the 300 count botnet using the N-word 30x each, generated 50K tweets containing the slur, which equates to 15,000,000 total impressions.

Remi Barrette also published data using his alt ZellaQuixote to self-verify its ‘authenticity’ focusing on the same narrowed botnet.

Part of what was happening to reduce the number of accounts doing this was done manually, meaning that each account was being logged into via console then removed by executing a console code. The key problem, Bloomberg scooped the story that only fifteen consoles were operational while Susan Portnoy, AKA KassandraSeven, ran a very public brigade chastising people for quitting Twitter while posting insta-receipts indicating she and her group alone were successful in getting rid of the hate.

Here was how Susan Portnoy began the operation at 6:47AM NYC local time, making a key error of announcing the specific parameters of her assignment—to report and remove the accounts using the n-word.

Later she’d demonstrate her work publicly, showing that she was reporting accounts with those shortly getting suspended, done as a sleight of hand Jedi mind trick of having two hackers at the call, Remi Barrette and Andrew Auernheimer each capable of removing the accounts as she or her underlings indicated they had reported the accounts.

Susan was joined in by multiple co-conspirators such as Amber Rebekah King whom sounded as inauthentically upbeat as Portnoy did.

So too did Winkie_doo, Marc Dantz’s alleged girlfriend he left his wife for, also pink, showing that everybody she reported got nuked.

Another loyalist Pinkie account.

Another, whom was pink but wasn’t when I went to search his timeline much later.

There were several other accounts involved in Portnoy’s inauthentic mass-reporting brigade including this one, a leftwing sock account QAnon influencer posing as a researcher.

The thing is not all the pinkie accounts that conspire with Susan Portnoy’s work were in on the current mission. QAnon influencer, Blue-Anon, grifter, college degreed actor that defends Mike Flynn and lies to the press and Congress, Mike Rothschild, wasn’t. Here he provides a critical receipt that notes that on Friday, November 4th, Twitter moderation was still set to auto-reject valid reports, doing so within one-minute.

We’ll segue to hacker Remi Barrette’s next day for a moment to highlight the significance of that. Remi creates most of the disinformation that he features on his feed, doing so to lend himself credibility. The next day, an early Saturday morning while console access was still restricted and no reports were being looked at by authentic Twitter staff, Remi Barrette featured then banned two accounts.

Note the time. It was 6:03 AM at Twitter headquarters when he featured this. Here was my screenshot (I also have the same ‘account suspended’ for the secondary account Remi features).

More importantly here is a commenter noting at 7:52 AM Pacific Time that the accounts had been suspended.

There is zero reason for any of the fifteen people with console access on the West Coast to be reviewing two reports on bot accounts Saturday morning, then take action removing them. It’s ludicrous. It’s inconceivable as well as solid evidence that Remi Barrette, AKA Conspirator0 had active console access allowing him to ban accounts as Susan Portnoy and her group indicated they had reported them.

How did every other user’s experience differ from Yonder’s ops led by Susan Portnoy?

They got abused.

Here was one of the most egregious, with Portnoy stepping in to ‘report the account’ which then resulted in the sock account offender using Nazi coded language and murderous threats, being promptly banned.

Here were two random users responding to the tweet of Yoel Roth that Susan quote-tweeted above.

This operation can’t be concluded without noting what Remi’s friend and head of Twitter Safety announced here.

That’s when it was noted that the entirety of the campaign was 1500 bots total, which includes the 300 accounts Susan Portnoy and Remi Barrette were tasked with removing.

The press and actual researchers saw through parts of the ploy making most of Yonder’s efforts count for naught, yet lacked the full context of what was and is happening with the company.
