This was too funny.
I have been having a back and forth with an ally supportive of KassandraSeven, Conspirator0 and MaxNordau attempting to shield Remi Barrette, Susan Portnoy and Andrew McGimpsey from criminal liability over interfering in a Federal election on behalf of DeSantis’s press secretary foreign agent Christina Pushaw. This is what they said showing that either they are incredibly naive or fully invested in a con.
“It took me less than 5 minutes to confirm that they are not the same person.”
Five minutes.
That isn’t how these things work, well at least for professionals seeking to identify targets working in criminal operations and not those attempting to defend them with five minutes of inadequate research.
The above “five minute debunk” statement was in defense of Remi Barrette who a confidential source first identified as being behind the account Conspirator0, and then was verified by multiple people using Open Source Intelligence or ‘OSINT’ for short.
For the most part there wasn’t much of a social media presence for Remi Barrette to look at a year ago. Multiple searches on Facebook found some pictures of the Conspirator from the North, all of them on bandmates’ feeds, but no actual profile as he presumably had set it private. I did find video of him over on YouTube performing.
As the five-minute debunker claimed she found “social media accounts” of his, I decided to check out what he had made viewable to run this operation. Finally, after a year, a match came up.
Having seen these deceptions a number of times before from various bad actors after they have been caught trying to clean up the mess, I am not at all surprised Remi would unlock some of his account only after he was the target of international investigations into his hack and dump of Twitter users’ private data.
There really isn’t much viewable on that account, save some reposts of things for sale sporadically, and thirteen visible photos when historically he used 93 different profile pictures.
Locking out older material isn’t that irregular. Changing one’s privacy settings to be newly visible when the person is a data security specialist that had long had their account set to private is a big red flag. Also, why would someone who posts only once in a blue moon have had 93 profile pictures?
The 5-minute debunker didn’t even catch the obvious clue. Remi’s use of Norteño in his online persona as Conspirador Norteño is just one small piece of the overall verification process we undertook over the course of several weeks, not five minutes.
Jim looked at Barrette’s known associates from work and school that unsurprisingly included multiple operatives Jim and his team had already identified. It’s those Waterloo connections that are far bigger than the missed 5-minute OSINT escapade failed to see, that took months to establish.
What was the most convincing data was his employment at Bell, Canada as a telecommunications security tech, precisely the exact fit for his having access to track what started as just three emails between for more than six weeks on behalf of Louise Mensch, in order to interfere with a Federal investigation.
Of all of Remi’s ruses this one was the most damning connecting him wholly to New Knowledge and Yonder by working under Louise Mensch after she inauthentically asked for help.
For the next two weeks Remi charted out the only Twitter dataset of the hoax complete with suggestions as to why he chose Spectrum Health and the banks to plant the false flag. On April fools, Remi signed off with Yonder boss Richie Guinn, AKA Counterchekist, whom Louise calls her President, tagging the Jester to take a look.
Tagging the Jester was choice because that brought up this mini-thread where Louise claimed to already have a data scientist before days later begging for one.
We know Louise Mensch worked at Yonder/New Knowledge with Guinn because Joe Fionda was contracted TWICE to work under her, once under Forma Flos and a second time to Technology Consultants LLC.
The five-minute Debunker also thinks his previous use of ‘Wisconsin’ as a locator code somehow precluded him from lying and using a state and country that he didn’t live in.
While Jim Stewartson never clearly stated how or who gave him the identity of Remi Barrette, we were excessively careful following up on that identification.
That account must have belonged to Mench, since she commented twice this morning on my old substack comments. Obviously Louise is angry about something today.😅
