A Series on Misinformation, Disinformation, and Subterfuge

The slow-changing tactics within the two main Single Purpose Hate Networks I have been covering make much of my work covering them fairly easy, as they repeat the same behavior over and over again. One aspect of this is the networking arrangement that gives each network a fingerprint of mapped out interactions between the various accounts connected within. Jan calls it something different than the former term of botnet, where the interrelatedness of automated accounts with a single purpose was first identified.

Within the two main networks I have been covering, some rogue accounts do at times intersect, particularly with the Chaos Agent Octopus_teach that tweets incessantly, was banned permanently as sea_dazzle and shows up wherever the most dangerous chaos happens to be. Other accounts stay within their own network because they are designated sock accounts. The reason these networks exist like this is to amplify whatever targeted message to the audience with likes, comments, retweets.

Twitter protects many known single purpose hate networks like Matt’s.

Matt, who uses mostly his own operated sock accounts for amplification, wrote a three tweet thread aimed at Heidi Cuda spamming her account with a tag, after he was identified as the owner of the old-minted then parked account ouroboredom. Eight likes were generated, with his subordinate co-troller Nicole Chenelle also amplifying. Of the accounts seen above, only Cath Cares appears to be an authentic person, while all the other inauthentic sock accounts could be controlled by Donovan, Chenelle or another bad actor within the botnet.

Old school botnets still do exist like they did in 2016; however, the need to avoid automated detection, programs that identified and knocked out tens of thousands of these aligned accounts hourly, likely led to the creation of more semi-automated networks and then the proliferation of single purpose hate accounts spamming targeted attacks at mostly political targets that I now cover frequently.

Let’s look at another Matt Donovan amplification account. Q the Chirpty.

This Op account has a high number of Q-Anon adjacent accounts, Ops designed to push the conspiracy to the left, like Mike Rothschild, Poker and Politics, Q Talk, QuacksAnonymous and others. Note that this trend has been a consistent trait within these networks, showing that these accounts amplify those conspiracy messages on a regular basis.

The non-QAnon-adjacent accounts interacted with of note are Nicole Chenelle, Chad Loder, Brandee Marckmann and Primitiveradio. These are solid indicators of what the network is that holds control of the account. Matt’s associated network has focused its efforts on political election interference, infiltrating and destroying companies, selling identities and personal information gained during undue influence operations or as Rocco Castoro calls that, Private Intelligence work. Only Rocco Castoro doesn’t appear in the above wheel.

More or less, this lesser known account was set up for amplification purposes not yet used as a primary attack account, frequently left parked online with limited use, with a roughly 10:1 like to tweet ratio, with batches of aggressive tweets sent out every so often during its almost year of operation.

Donovan has used a slew of these accounts getting caught repeatedly because it really is too hard to keep dozens of separate personalities consistent, especially regarding what an account based on recorded activity should and shouldn’t know, say or do.

Matt Donovan issued the following statement regarding his being identified as responsible for repeated smears against my wife, now posted by he with verbatim several dozen times.

Matt repeatedly online abused my wife, so someone already DID get hurt by him.

We never caught the perp who was impersonating her a decade ago trying to catfish friends, family and others to get money sent. Yet we have caught Matt, Rocco and Nicole online abusing her repeatedly with lies and smears repeated all over my message board.

Before that abuse, Matt nearly succeeded in killing a woman doing the same damn thing repeatedly, threatening and blackmailing, only failing in his goal because she smartly hospitalized herself to survive. No matter how many Alt accounts he uses to defend his actions, they are reprehensible, criminal and immoral.

Yet my interest in the Tony Moon Shows Up Op to “my” home is piqued.

Matt, care to explain why both Emily Molli and Rocco Castoro each have now said Moon came to “my” house, when only one visit appears to have occurred?
