Back before the 2018 midterms Republican operatives and media assets went big, pushing stories of assembled caravans heading to the US border. Until the media attention that spread as well all over Central America, this phenomenon of massive group immigration numbers which at the time likely exceeded several thousand people at their highest concentration, had not been previously seen. Whereas in the past, most immigrants seeking US refuge had been comprised of men, these had entire family units.
Conspiracy generation at the time was off the charts, with most of the claims that the caravans, including from Matt Gaetz, lying that they were funded in part by George Soros, that they had T-Shirts (some images at the time certainly suggested that but were not verified) and it was all made to hurt Trump by the Democrats. While these conspiracies were obviously lies Fox News drummed up extensive coverage, fear and outrage along with the rest of the rightwing mediasphere.

The central fact was Trump himself invited the caravans to form, spelling out specifically how one can legally enter the US and declare asylum by turning themselves in. This is why so many of the immigrants that came into the US then sought out the border patrol, following the instructions they had heard Trump give multiple times on radio or TV. It’s also why the US had images of US forces gassing a woman and two small diaper-clad children, as the strong-arm Trump sought to fix the crisis he himself had fanned.
Assembling caravans by applying social reasoning of a better life amplifying Trump’s explanation of how to legally immigrate to the US away from worsening economic and civil calamity combined perfectly to encourage people who never before would risk the over 1,000 miles journey across multiple borders thinking Trump was welcoming them. That’s why this past weeks stunt of DeSantis bamboozling migrants into taking a plane from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard causing a humanitarian crisis so intriguing.
This isn’t that far-fetched, seeing as how Christina Pushaw kept all the paid ops on Twitter as follows, some of which never bothered to follow the Russian speaking, Foreign Agent who belated did so after the Feds reviewed her past work. It was however, more likely to be another woman, in Texas lying to people.
For the record, the only reason Pushaw, who isn’t likely Perla, to register as a foreign agent is if she was swept up in a Federal investigation. Or more than one. While her work to influence people via the media in favor of an oligarch is deserving of a closer look, so too is how, when, where and why DeSantis trafficked in Texas to Martha’s Vineyard, seeing as that fascist domiciles in Florida.
On the contrary, she WOULD be that careless. She isn’t Perla though. At least one investigation is now open regarding DeSantis’s operation, and of course PureBlood Andrew McGimpsey is upset, asking for Abbott and Paxton, who is FINALLY going to be deposed over his 2015 indictment, to interfere.
Unlike Trump, whose natural communication and social blindness deficits can naturally lead him to invite people to caravan their way to a better life that he certainly didn’t want, DeSantis is clearly harming people to score political points. It’s also racist what he is doing, dehumanizing people as illegals, lying to the public, attempting to recreate Trump’s racist MAGA momentum.
The DOJ may yet, deliver us from DeSantis, along with Gaetz and a whole slew of mobbed up Floridian Republicans, given Joel Greenberg’s fall from graces and having to turn over the bigger fish above him on the food chain. Those indictments, if they come for DeSantis, as they are certain to for Matt (Matt sex trafficked a child, made fake IDs with Greenberg), won’t happen soon enough for this author.
While we wait for the latest investigations to start, here is where DeSantis will first be held accountable.
Heyyyyyy, Matt Donovan ~ you a-okay with Gov. Abbott sending a problem he created into your backyard, Mattie? 🧐
