A Series on Misinformation, Disinformation and Subterfuge

It looks like the Senate remains in Democrat control gaining a seat for a 51-49 majority allowing Manchin or Siema to “defect” on the next major policy bill used to bypass the filibuster, with the House being a near even split that could go one way or another in the months ahead. Best headline was from Fox News.

The House Democrats should do exactly what the House Republicans did in 2020, slow walking the transition of handing over gavels should they require handing over control. While the Republicans did so to kill the government transition to a Biden administration with the secondary effect of weakening preparation to defend against January 6th, the Dems can and should do so for legitimate reasons of having the same two years time all other past Congress’s have had until the GOP attempted to steal the last election forcefully. Besides, this time the margin is so incredibly small either way that a death of a sitting member of Congress due to COVID, more likely considering Republicans stance against medical science, and the power balance could shift. Same with a removal via a Matt Gaetz laundry list of Federal indictments, expected no earlier than in January.

I expect the Dems to lose the House, with either a 217-218 split or a 216-219, giving the Republicans narrative and subpoena authority to launch their mostly political assault on the “Biden regime” calling up mostly bogus investigation after bogus investigation.

But what of a likely run-off happening in Georgia that determines House control?

The good news is that won’t be announced before Trump announces he is running, planned currently for next week on the 15th.

Folks, there is a VERY good chance Trump does announce and that that suppresses voter turn out for Republicans in a likely possible Georgia run-off just as his Big Lie flipped the Senate last time. Add into that the possibility of a staunch unified block of Democrats refusing seating an indicted accused child-sex trafficker Matt Gaetz into Congress, or other legal maneuverings that prevent timely seating of other insurrectionists from the anti-Democracy far-right, then the gavels do not shift for months if not ever happening should the Dems rally and stay one seat ahead post election season.

Whatever happens, expect risks of incitement or political violence to erupt because Mike Flynn and others long plotting to overthrow Democracy aren’t done yet. Still, we can all take a deep breath and sigh of relief that things are presently good.
