Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Jeff Giesea and David Saks are just three members of former PayPal executives seeking to overturn US economic systems openly, and democratic norms much more secretly. This is why the moniker of the PayPal Mafia is apt.
Since the opening of the kinetic phase of war against the West began, with Putin and his Z-army of ill-prepared, tactical lacking men hoodwinked into psychosis thinking they were liberating the people they would instead be raping, robbing and murdering, began, it has been clear the PayPal Mafia would do everything they could subtly to give Russia it’s needed win.
Here is just the latest.
We all want the war to end, Putin held accountable, and the Russian people to no longer have to endure constant bombardment with psychological operations needed to support such obvious genocide of their peaceful neighbors.
Kissinger is wrong. Giving part of Poland to Hitler didn’t stop the Nazi aggression, only whetted its appetite along with other fascist regimes to do far more. So too would giving territory that isn’t ours to cede to the enemy. David Saks and Elon Musk promoting such an outlandish, backwards capitulation to a genocidal fascist head of state shows again that they stand with Russia not the world’s Democracies.
While Starlink access given across Ukraine has been vital to the war effort, Musk’s unwillingness to turn on the system over Crimea has been to protect Putin’s control over the occupied region. Ukraine stands a good chance of pushing into and recapturing the territory themselves if they had sufficient real time data to guide them.
What the US should do is send more HIMARs systems along with more offensive weaponry needed not only to push the Russians back, but to remove the threat entirely from within Ukraine’s boarders before the Russians have a possibility to retreat and regroup. Ukraine has asked for stockpiles of artillery shells the US is extremely unlikely to ever use due to the munitions having a less predictable spread than more advanced shells, with some bomblets potentially not exploding. It is my hope that the US expend those now, giving them to Ukraine for their Spring advance into already heavily mined regions that already will need a thorough sweeping regardless.
While less preferred, Ukraine has a right to defend itself striking within Russian territory at military bases, fuel storage and governmental buildings. So far the attacks within Russia that have occurred have been limited to the right kind of targets demonstrating that they can and should be given offensive weaponry to continue breaking up supply chains and military build up from within Russia.
