Noem Promotes IceTracker By Threatening Those Who Reported On It
A Series On Misinformation, Disinformation and Subterfuge
The intent here is to drive up fear while the effect is to drive up knowledge about a tool the administration despises.
No Laws have been broken, so it would be impossible to fool a Grand Jury to allow any charges to be approved. Then again, there is not much to prevent the administration from faking Grand Jury participation in order to bypass and bring about charges that have no chance of conviction.
Flynn’s QAnon op hasn’t got the baseline number correct though the topline is—Trump is making ICE the most highly funded agency of his administration.
That money will never be enough either, as they will burn through cash to build concentration camps similar to the already at half-billion Alligator Alcatraz facility Florida built over the last two weeks.
The article notes that the initial 450m per year price, is coming out of FEMA funds because Earthquakes, tornadoes, fires, hurricanes are no longer allowed under Trump. That cost doesn’t include staffing by the 100 needed National Guardsmen, nor whatever the cost it takes to get them to and from work if it truly has no roads to it. I will also note that they built that facility in a swamp bypassing regulations that generally prevent structures from sinking or otherwise self-destroying. As the land below it isn’t naturally stable, the floor appears to be concrete and the speed of the two-week build means it hasn’t likely experienced any weather events, nature may reclaim the whole thing as the next tropical storm passes over sinking it. Cracks may form, leaks are likely and the eventual absurdity with attempts to staff this thing with anybody that has a choice of other jobs, is just going to run up costs even more. Besides, Trump may stiff Florida on this as he has a history of building things others pay the full or partial price for.
It is also not a guarantee that Trump’s Mega-MAGA-bill that is mainly cutting almost a trillion off of Medicare, adding trillions more to the deficit, re-passes the House after it’s Senate passage at 50-50 with Vance yesterday, needing to juice the militarizing of Trump’s SS-Ice army. It’ll be voted on perhaps today with Representatives attempting to get back to DCs swamp to vote being the primary sticking point talked about after flights were cancelled.
