Musk Spent Too Much Time Playing Sid Meyer's Civilization
A Series On Misinformation, Disinformation and Subterfuge
In the game Civilization the end-game goal is to get the human race off of Earth to ensure the species survival. The quickest way to trigger that endgame is for yourself to develop nuclear weapons and nuke one’s neighbors instead of waiting for that to happen elsewhere. Generally, the NPCs do not nuke others back into the Stone Age because it marks the board up as radioactive, just like what is currently happening in real life, so Elon, Peter Thiel and Jeff Giesea have instead been undermining democracy using criminals like Remi Barrette, Susan Portnoy and others to manipulate the populace hoping to push civilization into a free fall, get wars started and see what happens.
Ultimately, Thiel and Musk’s goal is to play Civilization in the real world by getting people to Mars. That is why he would give Ukraine tools needed to reach a stalemate with Russia, Starlink access, then take it away when Putin was under maximum pressure to do something nuclear by his war hawks. If Putin does nuke, based on the game, Musk would then be given enormous fiscal incentives to get people off the planet as rapidly as possible.
This all seems a bit nuts, yet here we are a day after the Billionaire celebrated Hitler’s birthday with a blown up rocket launch, the take away of legacy checkmarks to increase disinformation spread and Musk’s grand plan laid out as an entire crazy plan.
Note above that Musk expects the US government to pay him 50B every three days for every 10M he spends.
Anyone legitimately interested in living on Mars?
While the soil is rooted on the planet it lacks Earth’s level of protection from the Solar Wind leading to much of its potential atmosphere getting blasted out into space over the past 4.5 billion or so years of our Solar System. Mars, unlike Earth has far more limited resources with virtually no or non-existent deposits of water, organic life, or even geo-thermal energy sources. All that has to be shipped form Earth and then protected from getting blown away just to be capable of sustaining life. There also won’t be the robust telecommunications systems, meaning no Twitter, YouTube or Facebook.
We might as well establish ourselves on the Moon.
To me, this Mars ambition, while having an element of plausible coolness, is more a less a resource grab set up to leverage heavy profits here on Earth, allowing Musk and his capitalist cronies to gobble up and consume the vast majority of the planet’s resources.
There's also too much radiation exposure on Mars to be sustainable.
Normal people do not want to live on Mars. Elon is a child emotionally, one who believes he is starring his own Sci-fi movie.
