The calm presently emanating from Elon Musk’s account is part of a cycle of pushing extremism then backing down only to push again to higher level and so forth, conditioning users to accept new normals for behavior once unimaginable. The current calm trend is helped in part to Musk being embroiled in a lawsuit for defrauding investors lying about taking Tesla private at $420 per share, a drug reference.
That calm will end, perhaps within a week as he is already amplifying mildly noticeable extremist content drawing attention to other’s efforts.
This here is one of those, with a Wojak, an earless image meant to evoke disquieted feelings standing in the corner, yet instead of the head, the Microsoft Edge icon exists. The original meme haas circulated for quite some time, created within the Chan community and used to represent InCels, or involuntarily celibates that are unable to find themselves partners.
This one is quite a shocking reference. PVP, or player versus player, involves a competition where one side wins only after extinguishing the other side completely in battle. Note how QElon phrases his message. This isn’t a battle of social media supremacy, rather a battle of cultural supremacy save his people have control over the rules, the platform and the messaging.
The above reminded me of another message QElon put out along the same vein.
Next.
Ah the Golden Book GamerGate meme! How did I Nat-zee this one coming? It is usually Hitler sliding down the rainbow, though the Iron Giant, slapped with a Russian Star is fitting propaganda piece.
Taibbi’s piece got an inquiry by Mother Jones sent publicly to Elon who wisely punted to teammate Matt hoping to create space between himself and a probable lie.
From my own reading of the thread and Substack was that Yoel Roth was concerned over H-68 being misinformation, tried to get media to push back against it. That should be a good thing.
Musk who retained Roth during the takeover and protected him up until Yoel bailed, along with Taibbi pumped up this particular TwitterFile as if it was a big failing. I don’t trust Yoel Roth at all, as he harmed so many on the left on behalf of fascists like DeSantis to know this story isn’t fully hatched, misleading as the other TwitterFiles have been.
This seems like a good time to throw down this part of a spat between two lead Russian speaking operatives supporting the next building of a Fifth Column working eventually for the same people despite the confrontation.
This next one is quite remarkable, perhaps the best one Musk has dropped thus far.
Q coded messages often didn’t have a clear answer or meaning, which caused people to make things up, to get engaged in, and to be fully immersed. The responses to this one ranged to “Alfa” and Omega (spelling change by me) to the horseshoe theory of pulling in extremists on the left and the right to fulfill an aligned objective such as toppling the US government on January 6th was supposed to be.
This weaponized meme dropped by a fan on that thread summed up Omega and PVP succinctly that Elon is trying to get across with Catered blasting people with a Gatling gun, AOCs horror at 8buck NPCs (Non-Player Characters) and Stephen King hanging out within the NYTimes building.
Twitter is PVP, which means it isn’t safe. It never was.
