Matt Donovan, API
A Series on Misinformation, Disinformation and Subterfuge
I know I have been sharing a ton of stuff on Matt Donovan lately, one of the most malicious Social Media Intelligence Operatives conducting “work” on Twitter, with multiple accounts used primarily to cause trauma, yet its needed. He uses so many accounts, changes those account names frequently, and isn’t doing legitimate nor legal work. Then things like this find their way into my inbox, and eventually into an article because it’s important.
Let’s dissect this.
Donovan having API/Developer access is problematic considering what he has been up to on Twitter during the entire time that account has been active, operating a fairly large number of accounts in a Single Purpose Hate Network, terrorizing residents of San Fransisco supporting the School Board recall, and trying to kill at least one known target that was preventing him from gaining operational control of TTP’s data via suicide ideation.
ExaltedData, whom is Will Welna, was connected to Matt in this tweet after previously being shown to be a mutual with Octopus_teach. More importantly though, is this tweet gives me additional things I needed to dig into that neither Matt nor Rocco wanted. I looked up the screen names of this nexus, his API accessible account, and they were quite telling regarding the long-played two-sided LARP these two cream puffs played this past year.
I have heard Rocco howl many times over THAT guy. Those crying wolf tweets, now takes on a whole different meaning, at least for a couple of minutes.
So was Matt Donovan playing Rocco or is this just another two-sided op Rocco had drummed up to feign conflict?
While all the Ops do the above, this one might best be explained by squatting which can happen when an account abandons a handle allowing someone else to register an account using the same account name. This makes the memory.lol tool slightly less useful where in a few cases this will have happened won’t turn up the full thread of account handles based off of a shared name/data point.
In closing, here are another bunch of actual Donovan handles from another one of his newer sock accounts which took a potshot at another longtime competitor, Doug Stewart.
