A Series on Misinformation, Disinformation and Subterfuge

Expect more of this after Trump’s Thursday performance.

Pre-seeding an audience before the key disinformation programs/operations are launched is a hallmark tendency of such things. By pairing a fact (Iran did target the election, perhaps even within the precise context given) with a lie (Krebs/Wray had been honest) within the opinion piece’s heading, greatly reduces the effectiveness of the op when compared to other methods that let people come to their own conclusions.

Better would have been to get their assets to each write an informative article highlighting facts that then support other assets writing opinion pieces where the lies/disinformation is spread. Why? Because that would have enabled them to reach a larger normative audience. As it is, they screwed up over and over again on just the basics of how to run an active measure PsyOp on the American public. Instead, they gave massive ammo and time for this to all go sideways on Trump even before he gets up and lies to the public. Here’s an example of that happening, including a mention of Gateway Pundit caught lying last time on this same disinformation operation:

Honestly, there are a handful of other Trump initiated crises that could have caused such a meeting such as affordability, Iran War, Lindsey Graham’s toxicology report, Epstein Files, or advanced notice of an impeding damaging article within the mainstream press that has major implications, etc. Trump should be panicking about how badly his Thursday show is expected to be, not just whether the networks are going to go along with it and risk broadcasting it live (they should stream it online with a disclaimer that opinions of Trump are solely his and his alone, and do not reflect the established facts).
