Let’s do this:
Facts—
Trump was kicked out of the family home and sent to military school due to being an embarrassment with the final straw being his bringing home a switch-blade pocket knife.
The above picture with the school secretary was a PR move as there were no same-aged female cadets at the all-boy school to highlight Don’s dad bringing various well-dressed neighborhood girls to campus when he visited his son.
Trump wasn’t good at sports, rather at a small school where his father clearly influenced the opportunities his son had at the expense of others.
One example of this was Don’s baseball coach telling these stories that Trump was so good in High School professional scouts were coming to campus to watch him. That clearly wasn’t happening given his penchant to hit the ball exclusively to the left side of the field, the 70-ish mph fastball and his .138 batting average based on one recorded box score. He was at best, a serviceable first baseman who couldn’t throw worth a lick.
Trump also was not an elite scholar, having his course work completed by his sister, his college admittance exams taken by a neighbor, and showing his college course grades of C’s to a classmate, as stated by Mary Trump to her niece Mary on a recording.
Many of these items were previously reported by others prior to the 2016 election save the box score, yet didn’t get the widespread attention they should have due to effective subversion of social and legacy media to push back on and suppress reporting.
I’ll relate the one pertinent leadership story of Trump’s NYMA time where his dad stole him the honor of leading the parade from the would-be top cadet after the Don was relegated to “staff” after one of his underlings were beaten.
Don had no leadership responsibilities until his senior year, with his being in charge of the equipment being the closest to one undertaken his junior year. He was put in charge of supervising the top class, company A as I recall.
Prior to Trump’s arrival on campus, a kid had been beaten so badly with a chain, escaped, got to a hospital getting the school in trouble that they had to reprimand Trump for dereliction after some of the boys he assigned to supervise everybody else for him beat up a cadet while Trump did God knows what in his room. He was then, as Trump put it, ‘promoted to staff’
The following week Trump despite his insolence, was given the lead position at the school with the honor of leading a New York parade, getting the first group of I believe cheerleaders bumped behind ‘his’ cadets leading to his greatest honor at the expense of someone else still mad over it some 40+ years later.
