I’ll be spending the off-school break with my family, traveling quite a bit to see relatives. While I probably will still post now and then, it will be sporadic likely for the rest of the month.
In the event Twitter DOES go down, despite my prediction it will hang on, I will be happy that that will wipe out a major rats nest of disinformation threads set up to mislead investigations down endless rabbit holes. I am probably on the road as you read this, so wishing everyone the best over this Thanksgiving week.
And as promised instability.
One can still go through and see tweets and media, however, over the past month, some features on Twitter were potentially set to be degraded, making them less useful for research and fact finding. Keep in mind Twitter is itself a repository of documentation, activism, and generally unfiltered speech. It will be interesting what the platform devolves into in the short term, as well as who will primarily use it once it comes back fully positioned as X, the world’s likely most dangerous message board.
have a great vacation
