First Up
Crypto is perfectly suited to criminal enterprise, at least on the surface, because it can be moved around with relative ease. What those criminals didn’t get though is that the early fake-currencies had a ledger built onto the code each time it moved between one user to another allowing federal investigators to know where it came from once they have seized it. Secondly, the whole point of crypto was to move capital out of legitimate investments into something just a relatively few people control and can manipulate.
One such story I have been told but cannot find was someone selling the priciest Magic the Gathering Cards, and only if they were bought using Bitcoin. From my source, the ask was undervalued compared to the cards and condition those were being sold as, so the seller’s insistence these were paid for only in BTC was odd as he had plenty of in cash offers that if accepted he could just but the Bitcoin himself. He always said no.
The transaction happened eventually with his getting paid in digital currencies instead of cash, then Bitcoin shortly after hit a large price surge. The man as long as he sold high, made out as a bandit getting more than 10x the value as he presumably knew the market surge was coming.
Twitter lives and will soon have features far more dangerous than Hitler memes, coded language, GamerGate, misogyny that propagates off of Lead Twit Elon Musk’s feed.
I agree with the debt ceiling risks Dave states. Each time the Republicans shut down the US government over the past decade, it was to gain some sort of political advantage. Cuts to Ukraine aid are the most likely to be leveraged considering how aligned core Tea Party/MAGA Republicans are with Russian interests of ending freedom and democracy. The same is already true of R’s weaponizing Twitter.
I have joined toad social. Follow me there at:
Several of the PsyOps apparently took offense to this stated truth on my account I had already abandoned:
Why is Susan Portnoy so protective of Mike Flynn and Peter Thiel?
The difficulty Susan, Matt, Mike, Chris and others have in regards to Mastodon, is that they lack the ability to ever fully control the network like they did Yonder, to abuse try to kill, threaten or intimidate people. Yes, they have ideas of how they can try to do so, but the scale of stated plans which are akin to Mensch’s Yonder blocklist scheme, don’t work so great when they have to deal with dozens if not hundreds of current servers.
This next one is a little bit weird.
Matt Donovan’s Winkie_doo gets an odd shoutout with his FiberMike1 handle for posting pictures of Everett’s family. In another tweet, Everett names another Matt Donovan account.
This whole thing appears to be witness tampering, something clearly criminal winkie_doo Matt Donovan would likely do, so long as he gets paid. Everett is purportedly in a lawsuit against Mike Flynn though I haven’t followed much of the story.
This one, clearly evident given this has already happened repeated on the platform with Yonder operatives having operational control, isn’t as powerful as Lincoln’s Bible who noted Twitter is like a house rental, where content freely created belongs to Musk and therefore Thiel, is why it is important for documentarians to preserve their records created on the platform.
Most of my work is on Substack and preserved secondarily by a very helpful Yonder employee that has saved me time and effort needed to archive everything as a backup. Thank you JimJarArchivist!
This one was great. Why pay Elon 8 bucks to abuse you? Why trust Elon’s pushed FTX conspiracy when he has a vested interest from another crypto scam?
