Let’s start with the minor one first. Musk amplifies many extreme right hate mongers including Cheong seen here.
Ian’s connection to Louise Mensch, shown here was as a bylined writer at her Heat Street.
It really shouldn’t be that surprising seeing one of Musk’s core influencer operatives was connected to a disinformation outlet. Honestly, everything having to do with Musk might connect to other influence operations.
Take this example.
Recently Musk was all over the Hamilton 68 dashboard after a recent TwitterFiles “dump” that they forgot to identify who provided the tech creating it.
Yep, New Knowledge, now Yonder.
The Hamilton68 dashboard was a collection of 600 accounts said to be amplifying Russian propaganda, tracking and reporting in real time. Yoel Roth, as reported by Musk stooge Matt Taibbi, said this internally about it.
Here was one of the PayPal Mafia dunking on Yonder’s Hamilton68 project a couple days after the TwitterFiles drop, then being reprimanded by Yonder’s Mensch.
What cracks me up about this particular narrative is pulling up tweets like this one.
This screenshot tweet feels like hitting a holy grail.
It’s Russia Today, a Russian state media highlighting Fox News that pushes Russian propaganda, talking about a dashboard built to mimic Russian disinformation by a company known to spread Russia disinformation calling Americans Russians.
Here are the known components built by Yonder Inc to push the RussiaGate narrative:
Alfa Bank Trump Tower Wiretap Conspiracy
Hamilton68
Project Birmingham
All of this work done by Yonder was manufactured essentially to combat the threat to Trump of the narratives laid out within the Steele Dossier and to quash Trump-Russia reporting. While I get the desire Musk had to harm the media here over believing the Hamilton68, the risk of having it’s executive hauled before Congressional committees and then having to answer under oath why they mislead the public over and over on Russia as well as who ultimately funded them seems like a major gamble.
