Disingenuous Chatter & Unneeded Misinformation
A Series on Misinformation, Disinformation and Subterfuge
Matt Donovan, who along with Nicole Chenelle and Rocco Castoro, has plastered many people’s names all over the internet had this self-centered excuse for going out and repeatedly calling my elderly mother, to say in his defense.
Matt Donovan has been an active poster on my Substack, reading and commenting based on his using at least half-dozen of his known Twitter sock accounts to initiate a thread. Most of these are locked, yet clearly speaking about my writing giving inferential clues telling what it is being said. That means Matt is lying very poorly here.
Matt’s plea in the first screenshot, that he is the victim, “it’s not your name he’s plastering across the internet,” is really something else given how many individuals he has doxed or set up imposter accounts to mess with. This ‘across the internet’ also appears to be his admitting responsibility for various posts on Hate-boards that have once in a blue moon registered a Substack view from.
Matt’s network was clearly responsible for this attack based on his own statements and past abhorrent behavior.
Many of the screen names Matt has posted under on my forum being people related to me, connected to Jim, his being Susan he appears to be the most obvious cretin. Some are Gamer Gate style subculture references. Then we have this tell, from his ouroboredom suicide troll account “confirming” Matt “wasn’t” responsible, only possible if ouroboredom himself did so, which is also Matt.
Sorry Matt, you couldn’t hide your accountability for this one.
Until I saw Matt “confirming” it wasn’t himself via himself admitting to being responsible I was leaning towards Rocco Castoro, for obvious reasons, like his threats to people’s wives, coworkers, family under the guise he was a credible reporter and not some guy whose own website’s ‘about me’ talks about his being out of his being pushed out of his VICE job since 2015 in a very uniquely creative way.
Normally, one does not dwell on past difficulties in order to sell their present self and work as being legitimate. While he certainly couldn’t put up that he destroyed the next company he got hired on to lead, I decided to dig since he makes it out to be a very important facet of his career.
Here is Rocco announcing “some stuff happened, we’ll say” and he wouldn’t go into it why his almost decade long relationship as a reporter and chief editor at VICE News was over. The link was found via Rocco’s star icon link seen in the screenshot above via on theKnowsNews.Net.
You’ll note that his about me section, does not match what Rocco says happened on the video, which shows he isn’t exactly being forthright here.
His termination occurred the day before the conference with no mention of a resignation being given, indicating he simply made that up after the fact for personal reasons thinking no one would look at what was actually confessed to on the video which he himself linked to. Odd. Note his crestfallen demeanor, poor eye contact and subdues speaking, all tells.
Props for his showing up the day after Vice, based on their own statements, had fired him but none for his then misleading the audience trying to save face then maintaining the lie for over seven years.
VICE’s leadership announced his successor same day, likely within an hour or so of Rocco’s videotaped admission that “some stuff happened”. Because boards and leadership do not make major changes like this was that quickly, everything was likely decided upon days if not weeks in advance before someone gave Rocco the bad news. What was the stuff Rocco happened to do? Who knows? It really shouldn’t matter, save Rocco continues to put undue focus on that himself for some reason, including it again as how he wants himself to be viewed as a reporter.
That unnatural public focus he puts on his own past failure is understandable considering his work after the job loss isn’t the sort one would include on a resume.
Rocco has since been adrift, infiltrating then destroying orgs and companies using his cadre of hanger-ons that include Matt, Nicole, Joe, and mysterious Sea_Dazzle, Cath_Cares and a slew of inauthentic sock accounts, working various Ops, threatening and blackmailing people, getting old friends to do hit pieces and lying about almost everything. Still strange to put that sort of detail in an about me with the link, but Masters got to keep the Master illusion up I guess.
Here is what Rocco posted around the time he or Matt was calling my mom, giving the impression the two were still coordinating attacks similar to others they conducted over the past year.
Yes, Rocco’s crew “Op’ed” Jim, infiltrating and destroying TTP; but, his minions did not get the secret identities that had joined the mental health org that he wanted to turn around and sell. He is however the lesser likely candidate for the attack, which is due to his being less involved in deploying Gamer Gate attacks connected to Chan culture than Matt has been.
Here is the message Matt posted, with my mother’s Utah-based number blocked out after the area code:
Matt is a GamerGate criminal leftover using the Chans-style hidden messaging of trolling posting things under names of my relatives, and likely being responsible for off-sight posts like KiwiFarms that directed a single hit later to my Substack as per analytics.
This coded message based on my 80s childhood, typical of 4-Chan threats, has three elements within the text that lay out a chilling threat in a manner of “plausible deniability” built into it.
Retired woman, was a double reference that most importantly refers to my mother who is retired as the target, Freddy Krueger, a fictional dreamscape slasher movie character from the 80s that slashes people up while they are dreaming, mostly at night, with the QAnon reference indicating that what was being said was a Chan messaging.
The number posted was my mother’s, having been since 1982. Since I have had land-lines in at least four residences that I have lived at as an adult, all of which are likely listed as former numbers no longer in use, both Matt and Rocco knew who they were calling and threatening.
While I would like to “pin” this threat to my mom solely on Matt who admits it, Rocco directs much of the hacking and private intelligence work doled out to others that he also bares responsibility.
Not a single one of these actors forcefully condemned the nutcase behind "EnoughOfYourLies", despite violating the privacy of young children. Or did I miss it?
I remember reading an article in a tech magazine about Gamergate. It was sometime around 2014. I remember talking about it with both my then boyfriend and my mom. There was a picture of Fred, maybe 2 or 3 girls, and about 10 guys. Very young. Would Matt and Rocco have been in that picture most likely?
What kind of dirtbags harass an old woman??
I just finished watching the Jan 6 hearing, and every single witness had been trolled HARD. The Committee made a point of relating to the audience the kind of pain and damage that is a result of this exact kind of behavior.
Unbelievable. Sorry about your Mom.
