Crazy Q-Vibes Take Over Utah County AG Race
A Series on Misinformation, Disinformation and Subterfuge
While it is only primary season with inter-party races heating up, one of the most outlandish stories of the political season is in my favorite backyard of Utah.
The basic conspiracy alleged happened between 1990-2010 involving your typical “mainstream” Republican stuff of cannibalism, child sex-trafficking, a faked-death with that man supposedly now living in Scotland, with an obscure website set up to push the nonsense that may have some shreds of fact commingled within it to discredit those later similar to the set-up of Pizzagate.
Here was why parts of that alleged child-sex trafficking ring were widely dismissed at the time of the initial investigation more than a decade ago.
The whole thing reminded me of this image below I was made aware of this week from a previously unknown by me noxious TOS breaking “Parody-Opposition” account SPHA set up within a larger network now with dedicated accounts to target Mike Rothschild, Will Sommer and others.
Abusive accounts shouldn’t exist, period.
I also do not recommend my followers go to any of these accounts, as the image above is tame comparatively to much of the content on that feed or others within that slowly expanding network of likely false opposition accounts. Each I examined had less than ten followers after months of existing, so is a waste of the Org’s resources that makes such garbage.
Back to Utah.
Here is an edited clip of the press conference given by Utah County AG David Leavitt who is running for re-election, responding to the Sheriff’s office led by his primary opponent, Sheriff Mike Smith, for re-opening the outlandish case. The editing was done by the PAC supporting Smith.
Reinvestigating the original nonsense conspiracy, which predates Q Anon nuttiness substantially and involves allegations directed at Republicans, is taking full-advantage of the public’s mainstream consumption of QAnon, linking Leavitt subconsciously to satanic liberalism child-cannibalistic cults that do not exist. If Leavitt loses in the primary to Smith, that will be due to this smear as incumbent Republicans on the Primary ballot almost never get unseated in Utah county.
