CPAC Unsurpisingly sides with Russians Over Ukraine
A Series on Misinformation, Disinformation and Subterfuge
This isn’t in the least surprising, to see CPAC side with Putin, pair their reasoning to support genocide committed by the Russian state with an equally immoral and racist shout out over the US border while also using the Nazi-updated slogan America First in a now deleted tweet.
The GOP, CPAC and much of the rightwing political structure is still very much in the sway of Putin’s malign influence, hence no surprise at all here save perhaps the timing (who’d think this would be a winning midterm messaging strategy).
The US policy on Ukraine has been outstanding this year, with the only complaint being they didn’t mobilize more of the support earlier. I fully understand why and how those decisions have been made, namely to reduce spillover conflict that still has a sense of inevitability to it given Putin’s heavy control over his population hasn’t sufficiently fractured enough as of yet. There is also the global concern of Russia using nuclear weapons as he has already used the Father of All Bombs, the largest conventional bomb Russia has in its arsenal during the earliest part of the invasion when they had sufficient air superiority to risk loading a heavy bomber down with one.
Presently, I would expect the US and NATO has a rapid response plan together should Putin move any of its short range tactical nuke launchers on the battlefield nearer to the border. That still is a risk. According to a recent report on CNN, these have a range of only a couple hundred miles, are antiquated and may be in a poor state of repair incapable of launching. That being said, if one of those moves within range, the risk of a preemptive strike on the launcher within the Russia Federation is both reasonable and highly escalatory. That CPAC would side with fascism is kind of already known. Last year they intentionally set up their stage in a manner that made no artistic nor functional sense.
CPAC, which means The Conservative Political Action Conference, is a Christo-fascist organization that plays an oversized political role in steering the Republican National Committee, the RNC. It’s also where Pizzagate first began to develop, February 2015, with the Trump botching his prepared launch of the core attack lines linking Bill Clinton publicly to Jeffery Epstein in response to Sean’s, “What do you think about Bill?”
CPAC is all about show, conspiracy and propaganda. If there is one thing Trump DOES understand, it is marketing. At the 2019 CPAC he ensured that this image would be the most remembered of the event, the odd hug of the American flag
which he doesn’t know how to draw, coloring the stripes, perhaps by memory, red, white and blue. Ah CPAC, Trump and Russia, things that shouldn’t on the surface merge, yet always do.
