Data hosting is a costly business.
What would be even worse for Elon is if people all used Twitter more than they already do including his offer to store copious amounts of data for Verified accounts in the form of podcasts, etc. For example, if everyone began using Spaces WITH recording, that would be very bad for Twitter’s costs.
What is apparently going on is that Musk cut down the rate limits of how many things one can do or see on Twitter, kind of like the timers in FarmVille that make the game nigh unplayable or more addictive depending on who one asked back when that one was huge. It was set to unverified accounts being able to read 800 posts daily, which for anyone that uses Twitter excessively such as a journalist, researcher or digital terrorists that usually are verified anyhow, would be reached far faster than the average user.
I might add that the PayPal Mafia are notorious data scrapers doing so to build their government surveillance apparatus tools such as Palantir, Yonder, ClearViewAI and the such, getting on or founding most of the major social media infrastructure.
I found this cathartic.
The reason Susan is screwed so quickly is that she constantly runs searches on her targets which triggers her view rate limit probably four times as fast as others on her suicide troll squad.
Taking the time to spend one on one with one daughter at the library today was clearly time well spent considering the self-inflicted chaos Elon is putting everyone through. Here is some more of that, from a spies point of view.
Not saying Ben’s ‘conspiracy theory’ won’t turn out correct, just that at this time Twitter still is a rather large company with third party vendors that would have clearly leaked this out by now.
At any rate, why are people even on Twitter unless they have to do so for work?
