This one seems too obvious.
Remi Barrette, bot boy responsible for formulating multiple botnets on behalf of clients meaning to Frame or harass people, appears to have already set up at least one botnet to run influence campaigns on Mastodon.
Yonder has developed a rather broad and intensive botnet filled of accounts of all the notables one would find on Twitter, yet adding this one account above and not others with actual widespread influence, is a huge red flag.
Conspirator0, who is Remi Barrette, one of the biggest conmen online responsible for the Alfa Bank Trump Tower Wiretap hoax that interfered with Federal investigators, Project Birmingham and the repeat of that framing Rebekah Jones, both interfering with Federal elections, and the most recent spate of racist spewing bots on Twitter ran to help Elon Musk set a narrative hate spiked and then dropped.
Remi’s bot account above was found between two NYTimes accounts on my search, near the beginning of the results.
There were several key accounts besides Remi Barrette’s lurking in the botnet that I had instead found name searching like Chad Loder and Leah McElrath, all clearly labeled as bots, most with less than 5 followers, generally no toots and following no one.
The botnet is has an extensive overlay of notable media accounts, with multiple influencers, celebrities, athletes. Remi’s account makes zero sense given it has a smaller footprint, has less than 50K followers and is otherwise invisible unless one looks for it.
There are actually several of these botnets which can be blocked as a domain by clicking on the three dots next to the follow button. A few of these listed instances are better than Yonder’s botnet as they repost tweets that over time will make the accounts better mask authenticity. Here are four such instances of bots only:
